About the Speaker:

The focus of Attorney Eric L. Green’s practice is taxpayer representation before the IRS, Connecticut and Massachusetts Department of Revenue. He is a frequent lecturer on IRS Collection and Representation matters to accountants and attorneys, and has done numerous talks on collection matters to the American Bar Association’s Tax Section, the Connecticut Bar Association, groups of Certified Public Accountants and national payroll companies. Attorney Green is adjunct faculty at The University of Connecticut School of Law, teaching law students in the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic to handle tax collection matters. Mr. Green has been quoted in USA Today, CreditCard.com, Consumer Reports Financial News and has been published in The National Underwriter and Connecticut CPA Magazine. Attorney Green has also served as a tax expert on Connecticut News Channel 12’s finance program “In the Money”.

Mr. Green is a contributing author on Advocating for Low Income Taxpayers: A Clinical Studies Casebook by Vandeplas Publishing, 3rd Edition and is Co-Authoring the American Bar Association’s Guide to the Trust Fund Recovery Penalty (Due out Fall of 2010).

Attorney Green is also a Certified Internal Auditor, and prior to practicing law, served as a senior tax consultant for national and international accounting firms, including KPMG and Deloitte & Touche.

Attorney Green's commitment to professional excellence is demonstrated by his involvement in numerous professional organizations. He is a vice-chair of the American Bar Association’s Closely Held Businesses Tax Committee, and in the past has served as the chairman of the subcommittees on Business Succession Planning and Estate Planning. Attorney Green is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Tax Section Executive Committee and is a Member of the Estate & Probate Section.

Attorney Green is admitted to practice in Connecticut and Massachusetts and is a member of the United States Tax Court Bar. Attorney Green is also a member of the Connecticut and Massachusetts Bar Associations, as well as the American Bar Association. Attorney Green received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting with a minor in International Business from Hofstra University and is an honors graduate from New England School of Law. He earned a Masters of Laws in Taxation from Boston University School of Law.

We have adopted and complied with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Public Accountancy Rules and Regulations of Mandatory Professional Education for the Practice of Public Accountancy, and that the program is designed to qualify for 8 hours of CPE credit

Primary responsibility for documenting the requirements rests with you the registrant and evidence to support fulfillment of the requirements must be retained for a period of two years.  We will provide a written certificate of attendance at the end of the program indicating the date of attendance, the location and number of CPE contact hours.  It is suggested you maintain your course materials as well to support the qualification of the course topics.

Enrolled Agents:
